About Carbon colors
Carbon is IBM's open-source design system, used across IBM Cloud, Watson and IBM enterprise products. Its color scale runs from 10 (lightest) to 100 (darkest) in steps of 10 — a different convention from Tailwind (50–950) or Material (50–900).
Shade 60 is IBM's primary brand shade for most palettes. Blue 60 (#0f62fe) is the IBM brand blue. The three gray variants (Gray, Cool Gray, Warm Gray) provide neutral options for different contexts — cool-tinted for digital, warm for print and editorial.
